Reboots, will be fast after first install. But it will only do that on image updates. The one thing to note, is the first time it installs the software, it takes a long time because it compiles all the code for ffmpeg. This is nice because every-time you boot the container, you will have the latest code from github, so all updates are automatic. However, on every reboot, it will back up your mp4_automator script config, and then purge and download the newest version of mp4 automator, and then move the config back to the folder. I actually had them fix a permission issue with all their containers just recently so I think that will work with this too.Ĭurrently, I'm using docker containers but they don't get updated when the base LS' images get updated in docker the script will only reinstall (compiling ffmpeg) software on image updates, so updates directly from Linuxserver.io. Yeah, that's the device parameter that I used for LS' Plex container too. How is using the Linuxserverdockers plus installing yourbash script different from how setup his docker containers? And I was trying to build my own custom script to achieve this and I didn't know that there's already one available :) Does the custom script apply ever after restart of the container though? What happens when the script detects that the components are already installed? And when there's a new version of the sma script, does it update the ones in the containers? I'm very interested in this because I'm looking for a way to have the containers easily updated when either a new version of LS' radarr/sonarr images come out or a new version of the sma script comes out.
